Mr. Younger, the President of Hudson Energy Economics, LLC, has over forty years experience in energy analysis.  His entire professional career has been devoted to matters relating to electric generation and the development of competitive electricity markets. 

Since 1999, he has been an active participant in the working groups refining the New York Independent System Operator, Inc. (“NYISO”) market structure and developing methods to improve the market design, including all aspects of its energy, ancillary services and capacity markets.  Over this time period, he has actively participated in NYISO stakeholder discussions and testified in numerous Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC”) proceedings relating to all aspects of the overall NYISO market design. 

He also is an active member of the New York State Reliability Council (“NYSRC”) Installed Capacity Subcommittee which annually defines the assumptions and produces the analysis to set the NYISO’s Installed Reserve Margin.  He is an alternate for the NYSRC Executive Committee which annually approves the Installed Reserve Margin and is responsible for defining the reliability rules for the New York Control Area.


Outside of the NYISO related work, Mr. Younger has provided support for commercial litigation regarding contracts and insurance claims.
